Concerns you might have before joining the course

It’s a big investment of money

We completely understand If you’re concerned about investing a large amount of money on our course. We are constantly improving our course to ensure you get the best value for your investment. The course will teach you how to significantly increase both your profits and your skills.

It’s a lot of time

Time is our most precious asset, which is why we have created a course to give you all the information and skills you need in the shortest amount of time. There is no other course that delivers the equivalent amount of detail within the timescale that we have developed.

You’re not sure if the course will be valuable

We want our course to be of great value to everyone that becomes part of it. There are huge benefits waiting for you, and we want to help you grow your skills, your business and your confidence through our modules.

You already have some window repair work so you’re not sure how this course will help

It’s great that you’re on your way. Let us fill in any gaps in your knowledge, and maybe show you some better ways of doing what you already do while teaching you the business management skills as well.

You’re worried you’ll struggle with the technical side of things

Don’t worry. We will break things down to make it easily understandable. Remember, you will always have your manual to refer to in addition to telephone support from Alan should you need it.

You’re not sure there’s enough work out there

The double glazing repair industry is still very much ‘untapped’. Think of how many houses there are, each with a minimum of 15 windows and some with many more. The first UPVC windows were fitted in 1935, and since then they have been a ‘go to’ product. According to the English Housing Survey published in 2013, over 80% of homes are fully double glazed. Most of this double glazing is not being properly maintained and is breaking down. The guarantee on sealed units is 10 years, so look around your area what properties were built 12-15 years ago. Sealed units will always be breaking down and will always need replacing.

You don’t know how you’ll generate the work once you’ve taken the course

This is covered both on the course and on our blog 8 ways to find double glazing repair customers.

You’re worried you’ll forget what you have learned

This will not be a problem. Everything is in the manual, and don’t forget you can just give Alan a call.

It’s a long way to come for the course

So far, we have only had one student that has been unable to travel daily to the course. We realise this may seem like an inconvenience but we have a fantastic facility here, and as Hastings is a tourist destination there is plenty of accommodation to suit all budgets. We have good road and rail links as well.

Can I pay in instalments?

At the moment we do not have a payment plan. There is an initial deposit of £250 to book your place on a course, then a balance payment seven days before the course begins. However, it is possible for you to pay a deposit of £250, and then monthly payments till the balance is paid and then book your course date.

Will I get the chance to try all the different modules hands on?

At the Academy we believe that everyone should complete each and every part of the course. This is why we have a maximum of four students on the course at any time.
