3. Adjusting door hinges to lift a door that has ‘dropped’
What problem it causes:
This is a temporary fix and wont last.

Toe and heel the glass

Remove the glass fix temporary screw through sides replace glass while you order a retro fit tilt and turn kit
6. Seal up gap between window and sill with mastic to stop water egress
What problem it causes:
This is the drainage system, now water will back up into the property.
What you should do instead:
Clear drainage holes to allow water to drain outwards.
7. Replace hinges with incorrect replacement.I.E replace fire egress hinges with standard hinges
What problem it causes:
This could cause the window to no longer meet fire regs , worse still if a fire occurred this could lead to residents not being able to escape the fire
What you should do instead:
When replacing fire egress or restricted hinges the same levels should be maintained.
